One lucky editor will gain more than knowledge at the 8th IPEd National Editors Conference in Brisbane with a unique piece of Australian art up for grabs at the conference dinner.

Renowned Queensland scribbler, and one of our conference keynote speakers, The Courier-Mail cartoonist Sean Leahy is whipping up a unique caricature of an Australian literary icon. This one-of-a-kind masterpiece will be raffled during dinner.

An award-winning cartoonist, Sean has had his drawings published in over 150 newspapers and magazines. The winner will join a global club of Leahy-owners which includes Steven Spielberg and the Vatican.

The dinner includes a delicious meal with something for everyone (allergies and dietary requirements are catered for), some sparkly piano from Editors Queensland’s resident maestros Maggy Saldais and Josephine Brown and the announcement of the inaugural Rosie Award.

It is also a fantastic opportunity to mingle with your editing colleagues from around Australia and across the ditch, make some new friends and enjoy the company of other people who love wonderful words and gregarious grammar.
